The NBA has been a roller coaster ride for fans this week, with several shocking trades taking place from Kyrie Irving heading to the Mavericks and Kevin Durant going to the Suns. The Western Conference is starting to ramp things up and now has become a formidable conference. Teams have been making bold moves in an effort to improve their rosters and make a run for the championship this season.

Hyland, who is known for his incredible 3 point shots from behind the arc, is loved dearly by Denver Nuggets fans. With incredible speed and massive amounts of energy, in only his second year in the NBA, he has really proved himself as one of the best young stars in the league. Recently he had some conflict with head coach Michael Malone and teammate Jamal Murray, who has been a main asset for the team this year. Bones recently unfollowed the Denver Nuggets on Twitter, removed “Nuggets shooter” from his bio, and a few of his close friends have been tweeting to Jamal Murray very inappropriate messages about his performance. After an interview Murray, denied that they had conflict and said that they are on good terms with each other. Bones has struggled to get playing time in recent weeks, with some games totaling under 5 minutes.

Despite being known for his shooting ability, Hyland has been on the bench more often than not, which has led to some frustration from the player. However, Hyland's situation took a turn when he was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers for two first-round draft picks this morning. The Clippers have been looking to add depth to their roster, and Hyland provides exactly that. He is a sharpshooter from beyond the arc and his ability to knock down three-pointers could be a huge asset for the Clippers. Hyland has also shown that he can play well under pressure, making him a valuable addition to the team.

This week has been filled with exciting and surprising trades. In addition to the trade early this morning, the Nuggets have also traded Devon Reed and three second-round picks to the Lakers for center Thomas Bryant. The Nuggets hope to use Bryant to help bolster their roster and add depth behind their main center and 2x defending NBA MVP Nikola Jokic. Bryant has averaged 12.1 points and 6.8 rebounds for the Lakers this season while shooting 65.4% from the field. Bryant’s move comes amidst injury uncertainty and at the end of his current contract.
