As part of our 3 day series on Winter X Games Aspen 2023, we are releasing a recap of each day. Our co-founder and all-around great guy Tyler Corbo joined Chandler With Sports on-site in Aspen, Colorado for the 22nd edition of the Aspen Winter X Games.

The first day of the X Games Aspen 2023 was filled with excitement and high-stakes competition. Fans were treated to some of the most thrilling events of the entire games.
One of the highlights of the day was the Women’s Snowboard Slopestyle competition. Zoi Sadowski-Synnott of New Zealand once again proved her dominance in the event, taking home her second consecutive gold medal. Her clean and stylish runs left the crowd in awe and solidified her place as one of the top snowboarders in the world.

In the Men’s Snowboard SuperPipe, Scotty James of Australia continued his winning streak, taking home his fifth gold medal in seven tries. His technical and stylish runs set a high bar for the competition, and the crowd was left cheering for more. During her final run, she included 50-50 gap to boardslide rainbow rail, lipslide pretzel, and a switch backside 900 Weddle (amongst others) in her bag of tricks.
Another exciting event on Friday was the Chipotle Ski Knuckle Huck. This high-flying competition saw skiers launching themselves off a massive jump and attempting to perform the biggest and most impressive tricks possible. Jesper Tjader of Sweden emerged as the winner, impressing the judges with his combination of height and style.

There was also Women’s Ski Big Air, where Megan Oldham, from Canada, turned the first Triple Cork 1440 in competition history. Following her were Tess Ledeux from France and Kirsty Muir from Great Britain. Ledeux had a technical leftside double cork 1440 tailgrab, and Muir mixed a leftside double cork 1620 Weddle into her run.
The day was not without its challenges, as the weather was unpredictable and created some difficult conditions for the athletes. However, despite the challenges, the competitors were determined to put on their best performances, and the crowd was left in awe of their skill and bravery.
X Games Aspen 2023 was filled with incredible moments and record-breaking performances. From the thrilling snowboard and ski competitions to the heart-stopping moments of the Chipotle Ski Knuckle Huck, fans were treated to a truly unforgettable day of extreme sports.
